Right brain strain.

This swelling of the right brain in my head has my emotions dead

Wanting to write a poem I feel so all alone a dog without a bone

A feeling's what I'm looking for perhaps it walked out my front door

A temporary thing or so the surgeons sing
it's not my thing

So different from "writers block" I hear a knock the door is locked

Let healing take place soon blue moon I need some words to make you swoon

Guessing this is the end my friend have you a helping hand to lend

Perhaps a brain sans swelling pain I feel that we will meet again

I feel a tap dance coming on to these words and then I'll be gone

A tap a tap heel toe heel toe and dosey doe bye here I go

YOU'RE A POET, JANE, FROM THE WOMB. THIS GIFT WILL RULE...NO MATTER THE BRAIN'S 'DROOL'. WORDS MAY SEEM TO FAIL FOR A SPELL, BUT 'HE' WHO CONTROLS ALL THINGS...DOES IT WELL. TAP, TAP...I FEEL YOU PUSHING, I HEAR THE FLOWING...YOU'RE BACK! THANKS FOR SHARING, LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

I am sure all shall be well Jane...
And it will be all the sweeter when it happens...in it's own time...
Be gentle on yourself...
With Love,
Diana...

You waxed a little lyrical there at the end which makes me think you are of the mend. When all was said and done, you'll be back writing better than ever with new magic in your mind.

Have you tried using foul language? It doesn't do any good... but it makes you feel good all over.

Sending you a fiddle and dosey doe for the next barn dance!
Those beautiful words will flow into verses with sunshine
upon your pen. You've got us to cheer for you! God bless.

If the road to recovery starts with this poem, I think you are going to be all right. Your emotions may be knocking on a locked door, but your brave attempt to write the poem seems to be the skeleton key. Keep the faith. John

Oh, Jane, you must try and believe what the doctors tell you. I can well understand your displeasure because of the "Right brain strain," and it may be difficult to understand and cope with. But I know you are a fighter. Fight, Jane. It will all come together in time.

P.S.: You had some good rhyming in the poem . . . You're gonna be just fine.
