Refreshing thing.

Just stop and breathe
Take second do that
Dream weaver weave
Patch up that hat
The floppy one
Remember?

Patch works real well
Serves it's purpose looks cool
Patches sure look swell
Can't see that fool
Feel free again
Remember?

Great write Jane!Remembering is mostly a good thing since we tend to focus on the good past experiences, and that "hat" real or vicarious, helped to keep the visuals beautiful ones.
Thanks for sharing and continued success!

POSITIVE, UPLIFTING THOUGHTS CHASE THE BAD ONES AWAY, THEN WE CAN SEE CLEAR AND 'REMEMBER' HOW GOOD LIFE REALLY IS. ENJOYED AND THANKS FOR SHARING, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Yes, I have for sure looked into the mirror and observed the fool, many times.

Interesting. Is the fool beneath the hat or the person facing you? Doesn't matter. Those hats did hide what you didn't want to see.

What a remembrance! All down to a simple hat that was not so simple. The memory is more than memorable. It lives and is still alive in the poem.

Who could forget! Love those floppy hats with patches on them. Make a girl look cool even in hot weather.

As my new helper left on Monday morning she was wearing rather new looking jeans with the knees completely torn out and ragged. It certainly was memorable to see her knees, uninjured, and those gaping holes with no patches. I wonder if that will eventually become a fond memory?
