Waiting for Herb…

He does count the minutes,

The seconds tick by,

He is not addicted, or so he says,

Defending himself he does so with haste,

One has to ask themselves exactly why…

The drug non-addictive,

Or so we do hope with this dope,

Not like smack or coke,

I can also take it or leave it,

Or again so he does say,

No power it has over me,

Then why do you count the minutes away?

What else is there in life?

No drink, no smoke, no real for now, strife,

Some find religion; meditation does work as well,

I personally enjoy both, the herb and a session of meditation, yes, let me tell…
