Another day done…

Yes, another day is done,

Not one that was a lot of fun,

But got a lot of air & sun,

Therein I feel I may have won…

Still more to do,

One thing maybe or possibly two,

Still have plenty of time,

To wash the camper of summers grime…

Once more into the grass,

The yard I still got to finish,

Prior to winter, before the warmth does diminish,

Before the greenery of summer does depart en masse…

Not sure I do look forward to winter,

The end of summer I do regret to come,

I realize it is the seasons, but still I don’t look forward to the chill,

Maybe they will develop someday a way to sleep through the winter,

Yes maybe they will make something in the vein of a pill…

Till then I guess I will have to suffer,

And live through another winter,

Maybe in the end it will make me tougher,

But I doubt it; I remain forever and always an old duffer…
