Definitely not poetry in the classical sense, but...

Nothing New…

Still I do feel kinda blue,

My job did call me last week,

Worked two days, better than not,

Still want to work more, before my brain it does rot…

Couple hundred bucks for exhaust work on the Jeep,

Damn I knew it might be a lot, so actually this is cheap,

I have to drive what I can afford, so the Jeep I must keep,

Anyway Rufuz would be upset if I were to get rid of his heap…

Just kinda sittin’ here feeling a bit low,

You know how writing does make us just a bit glow,

So I need to do a bit of it, I need to write something slow,

Something that takes some time,

Something to allow my mind to bestow,

Some little ditty of a philosophical plateau…

Maybe to write another story, not a poem,

Just for those naysayers that say I cannot, just to show em’,

I have done it before, not that it is read as much as my poems,

But they are there and I know they can make me forget,

They help me to keep from feeling so greatly upset…

I wish I could take a day off. 7 days a week gets old. I can't take all that money with me, so I best slow down? Hope you can cheer up, Rufuz needs you.....

I've been thinkin' 'bout you, wondering why yer not writing as much lately. Usually you're very prolific. Send me an email if ya need to talk, rant, or anything else. In the meantime, try to keep writing--that might help to keep your brain active.
Love, Susan
