Children’s game, As adults the same, Shadows lay claim, To all in their domain… Where does it go at night? Why does it not show without light? Perhaps of the dark it has fright, On the morrow you will again of it gain sight… It does follow, Everywhere seemingly hollow, The dark however does it swallow, Within my own shadow I do wallow… Shadows have no substance, Hopefully those that create them do, See it we do with every glance, Ignore it as it has no part to our lives, Feel as though today I am in a trance… © ed ~ 12/29/05
