One persons enjoyment, is another's employment...

Sometimes I but have to get the first paragraph down, then I can continue on with what maybe a poem worth reading, or not...

One persons enjoyment, is another’s employment…

She works the street,

But her life she keeps neat,

Separate her “jacks” she does quietly treat,

Good she is at keeping her personal life discrete…

Eighteen she is, working since twelve,

Her boyfriend but sixteen as well does the street delve,

They work the same corner, him on his knees,

Her on her back in a motel for fleas,

Their lives they keep them, for each other on a shelve…

Can they someday end this cycle,

His young working name Michael,

Her name unknown, doubt she does recall,

In common, their employment, for fun baseball,

For each other to hide, put up for all to see a wall…

Think of them kindly, maybe they need prayer,

They are unafraid of the future,

For someday they will live beyond this affair,

For now she an au pair,

Swishing around for his employers,

He does for now with a female flair…

A sad thought provoking write, Ed. Yes, they do need a prayer indeed.

God bless,

Dear Ed
Enjoyed your flow of words describing such a tender subject!
'For each other to hide, put up for all to see a wall…'
And your sensitivity is beautiful....'Think of them kindly, maybe they need prayer...'
