In my immortal years I lived in Red Bank and we'd go over to Asbury Park. That was a beautiful place then. The huge older homes reminded me of Savannah so when I'd get homesick...it'd help a little to drive around.
I feel your melncholy need for the warmer days by the shore.
Can't blame you!

There is a soothing note to your verse, Ed, as I too feel the supression in of Autumn on my once active world. Fewer joggers and cyclists, less kids playing into the night, not as many people fishing on the lake, less partying into the wee hours and more of the calm that comes with the changing of the season. As much as I love the summer, I am looking forward to the last harrah with the brightly colored leaves and the several hundred hot air balloons that will dot our skies for the Autumn Balloon Fiesta. Today, though it is not really cold yet, I am making homemade soup and bread. It reminds me of when I was a child and we would pick the last of the vegetables from the garden, using them fresh one last time before winter turns the green vines to brown.
Take care,
Sherry

Poor Big Ed. Bet he's missing his younger brother. Well with Autumn now around you can't expect summer's company. Pity though for the picture is lovely. Victor
A homonymless man writes shows what it's like to look up the laid he skirts when you’re lying prone(d) to the sidewalk, beer / joint / needle dangling from your hand /lips / arm.
South Baltimore serves as the backdrop for this gripping story of three brothers leading very different lives but joined forever by the secrets of a painful family past.
