Haunt of the Jersey Devil…

Poem Artwork

Black brackish water he does drink,

Maybe that’s what causes that awful stink,

Lays down in it as well in summer to cool,

Never leaves where it can be found his stool…

Hawks & vultures do of him call,

Senses do they drunken campers,

Drink does he as well of their blood,

A tent at night has a paper thin wall…

He does skulk amongst the cranberry bogs,

Feeding his human side with black water frogs,

Standing right next to you in bright sunlight,

Never would you realize his presence, less you have dogs…

Red eyes in the night,

Do spy from across the lake,

He is there whether you believe or not,

Some say the devil is nothing more than a tale of fake…

The picture is most inviting, but after reading - I think I'll stick to the desert and the mountains. We only have bears, and cougars, and deer - oh my!

God bless you. Kathy

Lordy, I repeat, after having just visited the Peewee, you eds really are mean, now lying around in my poor old Dodge as dead gin-preserved wishers of being cowboys. And then this, a haunt in a Jersey bog., drinking that black water. I think I'll head right to the grocery for some cranberries. You've made me hungry. I didn't know Jersey had many pretty natural things until I saw the bogs and the ocean...jerry

When I travel the Jersey area again, I will send you my itenirary to insure that this place is not on my route. I'd hate to have to put these beautiful size 13 feet in the devil's mouth.

I see you are finally writing your Autobiography, Bro! Did Rufuz finally get you to start penning it? And Thank God you're still sinking those stools!

Is he bothering you again? Must I come all the way up there and douse the property, with my prescence?
I'm thinking, Rufuz must of drank the troughs of holy water I had put on the outskirts of your property...call it pre-dict-ing on my part, but I truly think now, Rufuz is your only chance until I arrive!
Stay safe and grab the only prayer you've got...RUFUZ!
Love and Peace~
