Doldrums of Winter...

Poem Artwork

Just before the rain comes from Texas,

The day was cloudy and dreary,

My eyes did remain all day bleary,

The clouds did cover the sun, takin’ away the cheery…

If I did smoke as much as I did say,

I would have not noticed the clouds all day,

But in reality, high I only get late at night,

The rest of the day either I sleep or write…

But even writing has of late come hard,

Maybe all has been said by this over-written bard,

Even Rufuz does notice the doldrums of winter,

Wish I could remove from my finger a splinter…

Hey, Ed...try soaking your finger in water, dry it off, and put a piece of Scotch Tape over to remove that splinter; unless you can maneuver an eyebrow tweezer :o)
Sorry 'bout the rain, but we HAD to get rid of those clouds..way too much rain here!

Better Days Ahead...

Poor Rufuz. I better send him an e-mail and cheer him up. It must be tough hanging out with such a glum Jersey Devil. Get out there in the Pine Barrens, and sniff some dirt or something!

You are musing in absentia of full mind and attention, what is Rufuz doing, I betcha he doesn't give two hoods about writing or winter, I don't know about the smokes though... bless ya! Jasmin Horst
