Poem Artwork

Cape May,

A place I could stay,

Surrounded almost by beach,

Oceans blue & bay green,

Offers me everyday a beautiful scene…

A lighthouse seen through a Victorian kaleidoscope,

My Walden’s place of residence,

Became my home away from home when I was twelve,

Has brought to me many times feelings of good hope…

Such beauty therein does exist,

Keeping it clean we who love it persist,

A place I could for life stay,

Cape May…

Hear Hear, light up that lamp and this ancient Ed will be faster than bad news up there, but for all means, buy that BIG house or PeeWee Ark's creatures will make us to sleep under the stars.

A beautiful sight, and seems perfect for you, Ed. Can you apply for keeper-of-the-light? Might prove to be a great get-away for Prez Rufuz, too...huh?

WELL DONE, SIR ED ---

have taken the FERRY there several times, through the years -

the smell of the salty air -
the sounds of gulls in the breeze,
the sight of beauties, there to please,
the touch of sand t'ween tiny toes,
CAPE MAY - a place to PLAY -
Pure goodness, I suppose!

a Beacon to be truly seekin' ... tom.

Take some money from under your mattress, and buy a big house there - big enough for all the ancient Eds and all our critters. Then climb the 199 stairs to the top of the lighthouse, and send the Ancient Ed Signal. We'll be there in a flash!

Me, too, Ed. Sounds wonderful. Having grown up in a little town by the sea ...

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
