Our summer has been nice, Though gas was high, It did lower a bit, as well nice, Up till this weekend, the beach was comfy… Oh but woe is us, The summer unofficially over, And up go the gas prices, Due to storms in the Gulf… Though we still have sunny days, With a modicum of warmth, No rain have we had in any amounts, Since spring did of us inundate, But I don’t mind, the grass doesn’t grow, I really hate cutting the lawn, So we now of the winter await… © ed ~ 8/31/08

Some are bad, summer good, glad yours was just fine. Ours are capped with Gustav's grace, but he'll not soil mine.... I think?

It does seem that the seasons simply fly by, I don't know if it's that we are too busy, or if as we grow older we watch the time more closely...but nevertheless a great write my friend. I can't complain about the summer either as I have enjoyed every minute of it! I always enjoy the fall...but dread the winter that follows, the roads here become nearly impossible to travel, but the snow days are great for a teacher! Enjoyed the write my friend!

Glad your summer was so idyillic. Mine was too. Not looking forward to winter. I hate winter, but must have it come around.
I am not especially thrilled with Fall either. Summer is really my thing. Would love to live year around in a warm climate. But have to be satisfied here in PA. Summer wurely went by fast, and the holidays rolled around one after the other too quickly for me.

Idyllic summer leading into a beautiful Autumn...that's one good thing you have up there in Jersey, lovely fall colors. And you and Rufuz: make that three good things! LOL Well done, Ed, still keeping you in my prayers!
