I deserve worse...

Poem Artwork

My dog deserves a better dad,

He is such a good guy, never does he make me sad,

For what I’ve done in my life, God should be at me mad,

I should be dead, but I live, I should be in hell,

But still I do live relatively well…

I should be experiencing permanent pain,

No I haven’t anyone slain, but,

I still don’t deserve to be in any way happy,

I still live my life as karmically as possible,

I try to create mirth, when its death I should gain…

I live everyday with an inside pain,

Not a physical one, though at times I do,

I feel I deserve to be the animal in a stinking, fetid zoo,

And my dog does deserve to sit near God,

Completely happy, well fed and totally anew…

And why don't you deserve God's Grace? Why don't you deserve to be happy? One of our basic rights is the pursuit of happiness ... your words, sometimes sad, often make me happy. Keep writing, know you're in my prayers!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Edvard says I rated you First Class - Wow! That's good, isn't it??!!

And Rufuz tells my dogs you're a pretty decent Dad - so snap out of it, Bro, and write Part III of old Edvard's crazy new adventure.

Ed we all have down days and we all have things in our past we aren't proud of but we have to learn that we are the only ones who can make the changes and if we are truely sorry then it's okay to start all over. God is forgiving and Rufuz is with you because he needs someone to love him and someone who he can live.
Look in your mirror, thaw out your taps, shower, thank God for the strength to say "this is the first day of the rest of my life" and make a difference, one only you can do dear friend for you just need a new beginning Ed. Remember leave the past where it belongs, in the past.
