We wouldst be branded monsters…

Poem Artwork

A little known blue ball in our distant sky,

Not attacked we wondered why,

We assume they watched while we did die,

They’re called humans, should we move there,

Afraid we were of their warring ways,

Monsters we would be called, not fair…

Such a pretty little planet as planets go,

They had the use, at the time, of the lance & bow,

Surely we could have taken from them their planet,

But we never & could not live on world of granite…

Our red sand did keep us whole,

It did permeate & fill all our souls,

Without it we would be unable to breathe,

So we resigned ourselves to death,

Allowing our eternal souls to grieve…

Spared the little blue planet was,

We assume the granite the cause,

Or their God was greater, we send applause,

We really would like to there inhabit,

But their inability to follow Nature’s laws do give us much pause…

I've often wondered why Orson Wells moved the landing site to New Jersey. It must have been so they'd meet you.

JOISEY - OK - FESS UP!

Did my MARS - KRYPTON - EARTH - VENUS comments inspire this Martian Chronicle?

OR - my prior statements about Rock Hudson starring in the movie "The Martian Chronicles?"

OR - could it have been James Arness' portrayal of the THING, in the original 50's movie?

OR - those scary words of Orson Welles over the Radio waves, as he narrated The War of The Worlds, causing pandemonium across America?

But ultimately, those GREEN men from that RED planet PROVED they were of HIGHER intelligence - WHY? Because they CHOSE - DEATH WITH DIGNITY OVER INVASION!

MONSTERS? BY WHOSE STANDARDS?

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU! Tom Thunk !

Somewhere in the distant galaxy...there inhabits non-human beings which we called aliens. They look monsterous, yet their don't fight wars...

A thought-provoking write, Ed!
