There once was a boy named Kent By fourteen his virginity was spent Not to a girl but to a man he did it lent Under the age of consent The man to prison went to repent The boy was left to of his own mistakes lament Let us hope his friends understood & did not of Kent torment… His name was Kevin He was to his parents an angel sent from heaven At the young age of only eleven Taken from his parents love He did enter a strangers car And because he did fight, strangled he was with a glove… A child a gift from on high They may produce many a sigh But God please let them grow Let all of their troubles then flow For to lose one through woe Is the worst feeling through which parents can go… © e/\/\ 3/39/09

It is a tragedy when a child dies through natural causes such as disease or accidents but when they die at the hands of molestors, rapists or abusers it is a travesty of nature and no punishment is hard enough for the persons who commit such crimes. As a father and a grandfather I cannot imagine how these parents can survive it.

Don't ask a father what he felt when he was informed that his child was raped, that's no pain in the world that can compare it, and he knows pain from before.

To lose a child is the worst thing a parent can ever experience: it goes against the laws of God. Heartbreaking write; well done, Ed!

It is a law of nature that children will die before their parents and the parents will grieve. It is unnatural to take a single incident and assume that it will happen to [my] child. Children have to learn on their own how to face real dangers of this world, like overspending, bullying and countless other problems the flesh is heir to.
