Biking my Buns Off...

Poem Artwork

A few short weeks ago,

I rarely did anywhere go,

First I did walk with a walker,

And a friend to guide me along,

I could also barely do steps,

And as some know well, I was not much of a talker…

Then came the cane,

I could not go out in the snow,

But I could and did walk in the rain,

Now I have no desire to pick up that walking stick,

As I get around on my bike pretty darn quick…

Yes, I am up to riding my bike,

A Huffy that was barely used to this point,

I ride around the loop in the campground,

A mile full, if I make it all told,

Biking I find is better than taking even a short hike,

I find I enjoy to ride much better than even smoking a joint…

First we had the Riding Red Hood, now we are presented with the Riding Jersey Devil, no wonder we are scared, wolves shouldn't ride on bikes! (LOL)

I am glad to hear that you have taken to riding your bike. I have a bike and I LOVE to ride it. I used to do long treks, but, like you, I hadn't ridden much for some time...but I am back on the saddle again and loving it...getting my legs back and hopefully will soon be crusin' more than just the neighborhood...but for now, I am enjoying all the Spring blooms in the neighborhood.
Take care,
Sherry

More constructive for your health than any joint can take you.

I think biking is good for your health and a good form of exercise too.

...there's that joint again, Ed. Well, at least biking is healthy. Do you sing Queen's song as you're riding? ..."Bicycle, bicycle..."
