Artists of the Word...

I sometimes wish to be an artist of words,

To speak with fluency of animals & birds,

To see Nature and say what I truly feel,

To write of poetry kindly & genteel…

To capture that which I see with my eyes,

To be able to express the feeling of flight,

Maybe I could do so, just maybe I might,

To show my love of Nature without disguise…

Though I seem to look through eyes of a clown,

My personal sight of Nature colorful,

I see the world with humor & try not to be down,

But there are some I know who speak fluently,

Of their thoughts & feelings so clearly,

Then there is I, who speaks as best he can quite dearly…

As I read your poem I had this vision of you portraying Tiny Tim, tiptoeing through the tulips, and the tulips lost...(lol)

Cheers,

I think you are soo right with this write. As writers and poets we do sculpt words into the images we create first in our minds. We stroke them, blur them, tease them and often order them into the creations we envision.

lil bro, you are the kind of writer that endears you to others, because it is honest and shows your true heart, which is more gentle than you portray yourself otherwise. So, be satisfied for you have many fans!

Being part time writers should require a more extensive vocabulary from us. But the more we write the better it gets. I like the way you write, Ed. It is more down to Earth.
GOD BLESS
Tony

So what's stopping you? Get on out there, Bro, and start capturing.
