...a dream of an acid trip,
-I've got to really get a grip-

Poem Artwork

Am I dead?

Did I die?

Was that a bright light?

Or was it a lie?

I am still lying in my bed,

A cloud of light surrounding me,

If I am dead why do I see only red,

Is it the red reflection of hell?

I cannot exit my bed, so here I’ll stay, oh well…

Have I maybe been abducted by aliens?

I think I feel alienation,

Maybe it was a nuclear explosion,

Taking along with me the rest of this great nation…

I think I actually feel alright,

Even though I am soaring towards a red light,

Maybe I have entered the Bermuda Triangle,

Or am I plummeting through an alien quadrangle?

There is nobody else around,

At least so far as I’ve found,

If they do see me I hope they notify lost & found,

And please someone tell me where about’s I am bound?

This is one creepy poem. I wonder what a red light might signify.

It's a world of bubbles, Ed! No way to see through them just keep being amazed at how beautiful they are!

Love ya!

I hope I never die... ...but that is a hopeless lie. Substance for reflection, Ed. Love and peace...

I think we all perhaps wonder what it may feel like to be dead. I read your poem with curiosity and interest.

I have a best friend who was pronounced dead.
His heart stopped for over 120 seconds
Some thought he was going to be a veggie
But now he is called the miracle man
Yes, he saw a light and he saw the furnace
He is a changed man today, my friend, Ernest
Tales he has to say can scare the crap out of many bold men
But now he knows much more about that place we call heaven

No BS!
