Dreams can be a real trip...

Poem Artwork

My best friend two years ago this month died,

He never in life to me lied,

He said he’d come back in a dream,

He wasn’t kidding; the dream last night was a scream…

It seems we dropped some acid,

Then drove to Canada for some gas,

We lost the car in a mountain pass,

Then a “trip” through a rotting city was for us cast…

All part & parcel of this nightmare,

Still, I talked to my dead friend without a scare,

It was like he came back to life for a short time,

Long enough to put into my mind this rhyme.

I've always said, dreams are nature's way of tripping. Dream on.

Yes indeed, dreams can somehow bring people, especially close friends, back to life. It is a kind of blessing.

Gotta love the way some of our friends come to visit us from time to time. Enjoyed this "trip."
