Surprise Gift to the Self...

I never do know what categories to put these things under...seemed a good one for this one!

Surprise Gift to the Self...

Yes it’s Christmas day & have got to say,

How freakin’ surprised I was to awake,

And find that I was not depressed or down,

I actually found reason to be happy,

Telling Rufuz that as long as we are together,

Nothing, not even the day I have been dreading,

            Can bring on unhappiness,

And this is the message I will be today, spreading.

Usually, throughout my whole life,

It seemed that something contributed,

To my depression this day,

Maybe it was worry or strife,

Or it seemed more like just plain dread.

But for some reason, today,

All those feelings seem to be non-existent,

Hey, I am not complaining here,

Although I might be a little,

Cause now I have no reason to bitch & whine,

                And feel like usual,

Or try to solicit pity from those I meet online.

Hey, if I can have a good day, so can you!

So put your brain in gear,

And allow the self to have no fear,

Give your depression a day to clear,

Enjoy this day, as Rufuz and I will,

It actually can become a day most dear,

And that is the biggest surprise gift I can get here…

What has Santa brought for Rufus? Heeeheee! I'm glad your depression is not here today...

There are many reasons to enjoy the day as a stress-free and wonderful day. I enjoy your writings always, it makes the child in you glow...

Have a Wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
