Traveling with Ed & Rufuz...

To travel in our minds for now...

traveling with ED & Rufuz…

(for now traveling in our mind)

Would have to start & clean the old beast,

not in the mood in anyway to say the least,

would have to put away, so it wont fall, the yeast,

but would love to move this old wreck, sorry beast…

take it somewhere, anywhere, but would take some dough.

unless I have someone behind me drive so slow,

just movin’ it officer, to the next campground,

the one I am living in now, it’s way too low,

waterlogged, like that of a lake,

want to get out of the flow,

moving it to higher ground, so…

long has it been, since last she has moved,

to look ahead, long will it be, till next she is driven,

unless I find a better way to make a livin’,

more money, to pay for the tags, the insurance & the like,

but I guess it is better that I just stick to that of my bike…

someday though she will, again, ride the roads,

driving like a pig wallowing in mud, or maybe a toad,

uphill climbs are hard, straining the old girl, with our “towed”,

that is probably the hardest part for the old wreck,

pulling a car, she was not made to tow, oh what the heck,

she is still fun to drive even under a load…

ahhh.. Ed and you too, Rufuz... I giggled at your cute word play "toad/towed".. you know me, love that stuff! Oh, but Ed.. though there was some lovely humor here and written in your own inspired style, it felt sad, too.. sigh.. here's hoping you will again climb outta the mud, slap those tags on and hit the open road.. you always give us such honest "chunks" of yourself to read... carry on... (smile) katy xox.
