" Theach not thy lips such scorn for it was
made for kissing." -Shakespeare
Let us make no bone of it
A tongue is strong and mighty cool
It can break a heart or then mend it too!
At times it is biting frosty blue
More piercing than the icy winds
Words that trouble burn like wood
Like throng of hammer on hot iron
Slowly wears and breaks down soon
Black as carbon, polished diamond,
Speech can weigh on either scale!
It can make a life or break like volcano lava
Feel and calculate what you say!
Before it is late and brings on hate
Weigh your words in any state
Often rash words breathe out fire
Numbs the senses, friends are lost
Bad and evil the spoken words
Is never peaceful, never sound
Eardrums throbbing hounded on
Of syllables mismatched to the lobes
The fury of the words unleased
Wells up speechless pain in mind
It breaks a friendship then cannot mend
Carry bad vibes till the end
Talk is better sweet and dear!
Bringing foes together and friends so near!
And if a mistake happens so
A heart felt sorry will do more wonders
What is life worth if you don’t speak well?

have much to teach the rest of us.
You are one of the really nice teachers.
Thanks.
If someone hurts you by what they say, it is best to talk to them and ask them why they said it. Many a long-standing disagreement could be resolved simply by asking someone, "Why did you say that about me?" Anger and misery never got anyone anywhere.
