In Loving Memory

    How do you write a memorial for a beautiful guy

    When in truth you find it hard to say good-bye

    The tears we shed are tears of pain and of love

    This man gave us so much to cherish and be enough

    But in truth, no memory will ever be as great

    As to hear his words no matter what he said

    “Cheese, Pepperoni, and Uncle Leo” will always be in our hearts

    And perhaps for that reason we will never part

    Who else could charge you to take a seat?

    Who else could bring you up when you were down?

    Who else lit up the room when they were around?

    He waved to everyone and gave a yell

    He was the man everyone knew and loved so well

    His light, his love, his words, and laugh

    Oh, I will forever remember that

    He could make you laugh without end

    But it was so awesome to hear him laugh

    When he did I swear to you my heart lit up

    Every time to hear a chuckle come from this guy

    His heart was so big, his smile shown, and for that reason he will forever be known

    As the lover of life

    As the guy who would do everything in his power to shine every day of his life

    His jokes and his wit

    No I will never really let you go

    Leo you will always have life in the things that I see

    That remind me of you and what you meant to me

    And the money I owe you after all of these years

    Oh I will remember even through all of my tears

    And then I will laugh because I will know

    You gave me these memories to keep your light aglow

    I thank you and can’t wait until we meet again

    You were more than a Great-Uncle

    You were a good friend
