Falling In Love

The emptiness sits there in the pit of my stomach.
I can feel it although it’s hollowed inside.
Steel; lead perhaps?
Every time he speaks or moves,
it lets its presence be known.
A foreign feeling, a strange occurrence.
It has taken over me.
Tears form behind my eyes every time he wins or loses.
When he smiles, the corners of my mouth turn up in response.
When he cries, I feel the same amount of pain.
When I think of him,
this strange weight inside me rolls around.
I almost choke on my own breath.
Drowning in bliss and anticipation,
fear and sorrow.
Feeling so many emotions at once causes dizziness to set in.
I’m falling...
The rush of emotions is coming on to strong, too fast.
gasping for air but finding none,
I slowly suffocate in agonizing desperation.
I soon become another victim of love;
the most fatal disease.

Excellent write. I can feel your emotions. Love is definitely a "fatal disease" that we all come under the spell of.

Love - so powerful and yes, the way you put it, can be fatal. I can feel the emotions that you bring to life here. One little thing; (the teacher in me) the "it's" in the fifth verse should be "its." "It's" means "it is". This is a very very common oversight that everyone has. Nice job Crystal-Rain. (Beautiful name by the way). Love and peace, Regis.
