Why? Why is it so hard to fulfill one single promise?
All I asked was for a little time,
not a century of your precious life.
Just a friendly greeting and maybe a gentle kiss or two.
I’d settle for a hand to hold.
At least a look from your eyes,
letting me know that you are conscious of the fact that I’m here.
Anything but this gnawing pain spreading from my body to my head like an intense migraine.
Just pretend if you have to,
grant me the right of foolish hopes,
and fantasies that are never to be.
Just give me one thread from which I can falsely envision a tapestry.
Rain! Rain! Rain! I live this. This is so heartfelt and real to me. Your words exhale reality and full emotion; the salt of life. Thank you. Love and peace, Regis.
Gee Crystal, you want a lot from a man. A little time, a friendly greeting, a kiss or two, a hold of hands and a look from his eyes.
