Admonished for mishandling money

That he said was not his doing.

Yet no proof was given,  just his word.

And that conflicted with the testimony.

Rather than bring this to court,

They decided to dismiss the man

He was adamant that he was not guilty,

And the money was never found.

Management brought in outside auditors,

And they went all over the books for days.

They found the amount of money that was missing,

It had been used as a debit rather than a credit.

They balanced the books and looked for the fired man.

He had hired a lawyer to defend him for unlawful dismissal.

When his lawyer was made aware of what happened,

He and his client sued the company for a million dollars and won.
