Though I speak in common voice
And you with ears can hear.
There is meaning in what I say,
That will be lost, I fear.
We are accustomed to voices
And those we can tune out.
It takes an elequent speaker
To capture an audience and not shout.
Wish I may, each time I speak,
That my voice will appease your ears.
The substance that is within,
Will certainly wile away your fears.
I can, with certainity, hope this is so,
For your life depends on what I say.
For there are forces within our walls,
That are hoping we remain asleep.
