I was left standing on a corner
Waiting for a gal to show up.
After a half hour I left,
My patience grew thin.
Probably will not see her again,
She will join the others who broke a date.
Sad that it should come to this,
When a fellow gets stood up bad.
Just a phone call is needed
To break any date you have.
It is the proper way to handle
A date you can't keep.
