Ecstatic Poetry
Cool Krishna blue breezes
alive with chanting
and prayer
rustle past the
Shiva Shrine
Tugging the brass
pooja bell I circle
majestic noble
ebony lingams
so dear to Lord Shiva
My hands folded in prayer
His sacred name
burgeoning on my lips
I pass a pond of friendly
ashram fish playing
near the holy Stupa
Resting awhile on a
white stone bench
adjacent to the
Universal Temple of
Yoga Shakti Ma Ashram
I whisper to myself:
"Ahh such peace...."
a far cry from the
battle cry bellowing
in our tumultuous,
besieged earthly world
