Turnabout

She phones at four saying coyly
she is registered in Suite 300
on a Friday in the Bellevue Hotel
inviting him to come by after work

Knocking on the door at 5:10
his leer is fully expected
she smiles in a flimsy negligee
as he reaches out for her treats

But why is she backing away
instead of kissing passionately
and who's this guy coming out
of the bath room in a old robe

A stranger in a grin of satisfaction
confirming an assignation with an
old girl friend now a housewife
whose husband is sorely perplexed

She has no time for explanations
but instead asks her husband of years
if the suite is the same one he uses
to meet his secretary on Wednesdays

Without being introduced to his rival
husband leaves after wife says the kids
are staying with their grandmother
until she picks them up on Sunday

while quite humorous, this has unexpected sharp edges. It definately illustrates those two adages...Turnabout is fair play and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned....great piece of work my friend.

Turnabout seems tome to be fair play. It is a terrible shame when couples resort to such tactics. Interesting write!

Be safe,
Karen
