Happy Anniversary to Fran
I wish there was something to bring back yesterday,
When we were young and love made the day,
When, we looked to the future with such confidence it seems,
To a life filled with joy, happiness and dreams,
But the roses all wither and your joy they will steal,
And it’s time to quit dreaming, life is for real,
Trials we have faced when problems, arose,
Some were heartrending, too many of those,
It seems like just yesterday, our family to begin,
But the last one’s gone working, an empty house again,
The joys of raising children, far too quickly gone,
Now there’s just each other , we must carry on,
We watched the lives of family, all with loving care,
Breaking hearts and trials, but we can’t be there,
A home and loving family is where the greatest pleasure lies,
Personal sacrifice is needed, you must realize,
A life of money worship and power’s a living cancer,
Caring, sharing and love, has always been the answer,
In years of wonderful memories, is now where we live,
Doing what we can with our abilities to give,
Regrets or satisfaction we look back , just a glance, ,
We probably would do better if we had the chance,
We’ve made this life time journey , regrets there still aren’t any,
Our joys you just can’t number there were all too many,
For Sixty years too quickly passed I just had one career,
And that was to bring love to you, “ Happy Anniversary Dear”
