Reflections

Worlds a part in the land we call forever
Stop and see the pieces left of my heart
Walking there I find so many secrets
Standing there I will not cry while falling apart
Over time the selfless feeling fades like the sun
Disappears in the winking eyes blurred, just run

Watercolors children’s size they blend to gray
Step away from the spiritual water fountain
No you can’t from your memories run away
What is the reason you go claiming you are living
Future holds the fact that some times you even pray

Where are all the lives I have touched or destroyed
Why have some of them been allowed to stay
Daggers sharp of point to the wrongs of my yesterday
Wish I could find all the definitions meaning for the sane
Feet are fast though but not fast enough to run away

Memories mellow as blown glass in the sadness
of where I live well at least where I chose to stay
Child of time asks me for forgiveness I simply look away
Naive I cry out to all who listen what was my crime
Words of the hero pick up your brush and walk away

Tribute to those who follow “Don’t let responsibility get in the way”

Great job, Walter! Such powerful lines!
"No you can’t from your memories run away"
"Where are all the lives I have touched or destroyed"
"Daggers sharp of point to the wrongs of my yesterday"

And yet, while we still live ... we must try to create some new memories, touch some new lives and do some new "good!"

Some great images. I especially like the final stanza. Nicely done.
