Time verus money versus status versus life...

Author Note: The rebel never dies he just reaches for the dull rising star

Words seem to fail as I think about the time

In the wonder of another sun I wrote you the love

Feel me in the word of my love as I see you free

In the eyes of my heart I hold you against the wind and sand of time

Old dreams yours and mine blend to together in the mist

of early dawn and in the love shared you were on the edge of my mind

Sing me a place were money does not count

If you be a god or a goddess why did you pick me

So dumb as to believe I could overcome  prestige

Silly days spent in the path of not caring and we just let it pass

So much I was lost in those dreamy blue eyes and child inside me cried

Because in the morning I knew you would be gone to the world of safe

Car races the edges of a drunken nightmare as your father's face sours

His beautiful daughter out with a reject from a time that died

His hand shook in fear when he realized that you were in love

Written in the stars long before fate slipped up

Glow of life burned through the blue eyes and golden hair, I was alive

A wild-eyed child following only his heart with hard hands

Summer drifted among the lily pads kiss of summer sun love burned red hot

You melted into me like the fire lost in the dreams of passion-filled nights

Warm the glow of the hearts that reached for and found the single dream

Fall rested in the cold rooms of an empty old house left dead by the father’s money

Fear filled his heart as he realized he could not buy my heart but your mother begged me to leave

Idealist in the body talks to the mind, not worthy of, not having enough to give

Fired up the goat and drove the last miles to the hell of war, Metronome Island gained your grace

Hollow spot grows in the void left my your loss to  sad lonely child man

Death ran around me in the hail of screams dying in throats still I saw you

Returning I found you, hooked on the drugs of hate, white powder leads to a dying fate

Educated well beyond your years, you cried in my arms, I gave you back to them whole

I did not fit your new social sands and your friends hated that I took you from their hell

White powder you are cured and I leave your hate, of my job done, killed love, a piece of you

By my wit, I live in the shadow, of old knowledge, that makes me, a value add

Layered in the world of money, you found me, just as you left me, in love with you

Torture finds many entrances in my mind and positions I call my life

Older now you touch my hand, with a smile, eyes melt my soul, but you have nothing left, to give me that I have not already taken form you

Age of pain seen and laid, makes a man, no less a man, but maybe more of a lost child

Alone, I always was looking for you, but when I found you, you were gone

Social graces allow you, to be the angel, to the poor, my soul cries out

In my world, I am a reaching beacon, to those in my path, to you, I am still your lover

Hope falls into the skill of capture, the net filled with holes allows a spiral hold

Stood next to you, at a party and dedication, in a foolish moment

Soft and child like, you knew we needed to test the rule

We are still drifting on the lake and the taste of love filled every inch of both of us

Wisdom at the sun's light consumed us before parting, we parted knowing some things are not allowed

Dreaming is the only world that is real as the days turn life to the young and foolish

Dear Walter,

I can't even begin to express the wrenching this one did in my heart. Certainly a gripping read from the begining to the very last word. Sad and so terribly filled with anguish and pain. Pardon the sensitive heart, as tears rolled as I read this. Exceptionally emotive poetry Walter, one that really claws deep. May you find that dreaming can become a reality, but let go a past anguish.

Warm hugs
Elga
