Time lives in value given

Law of man lost in the wilderness that lives on the hill of faith still

Results of the fallen snow grow in the wind stopping at the cabin door

Bearskin rug makes the lace for the warmth of fire from a glowing hearth

Dad took me to a place where the world had not changed in a hundred years

Pine tree graces the grand room and lifts the gloom of hard life to joy

Dressed in the glory given to man and God a like a remembrance of rebirth

Air so fresh it tasted of the wonder of the wind and snow about it magic

Each ornament placed with loving hand warmth given in hope of better days

Sweet the smell of winter apple cider warming on the cook stove oak logs piled

Grand dad sat by the fire with bunch of old men chewing and spitting out of place

Cat cuddled up in the warmth of dog joined like the lamb and the lion bible

Lady finds a place to rest in the arms of an old mountain man tall as daylong

Cruel as the nature I viewed I understood the life of real men carving their place

Kids home from college each rich in learning holding a special knowledge of life

Candle in the window lites the way for saint and man venison roasting slow to time

Morning in this old hold out from progress filled with place life is honored as a win

Out of the woods come the willing hands of special friends down off the mountain

Seeking a warm heart for Christmas day as they in their own way share this holiday

Why me to be invited to this a scared place of past and present generation as one joined

Value of the gift they bring is the heart that created the love from fingers of survival given

Place at the table is a given rest marked by history not name each a pride of man against nature

Course hand firm in a shake with grown to be more than friend but a spirit of now sharing value

Stories of summer and winter blend into the wonder of each who visit this day as a child is honored

Heads bowed in the meal prayer examples of the true wonder from the ground they scratch living love

Child of God born of woman honored by the best created since a mountain of life holds fast true man
