Plea of last breath
Lord hear me crying to the soul that will free me Lord pick the path way that my spirit will free Hear the message of the damned and the free Time it cast no shadow long I wait on thee See willow as the falling branch of the tree No pardon for the sin do I seek Just a cool drop of water given before I sleep Strong the mark long the rest Peace is my last request Father hear my calling please rescue me From the flames eternal set my soul free Cross right and left one is for me In the dawn set my spirit free

You found another voice to write this one, Walter. Deathbed is the telling time for us all, and we see who we really are, probably for the first time in our lives. Gripping piece of literary poetry.
