What have we left.....what did we receive

City streets reach out to hold mind and body
As the day reaches some point of understanding

I find the answers a bit cold and hard to take

Tip back a part called me
Dropped a bomb to see
Ripple sees a cripple free
Mental escapes but it is a fee
Tailor made for a fit to a tee

Green leaves shell brown lost to example he

Stories grace the hand and labor
Takes more than a change in place

I cry in the place of love lost

Honor takes the place of values fine
In the cold days we dine
In roots of fall gathered
Questioning only summer breeze

Spring comes to me in the age
The new rebirth is a country memory

Yet in the glow of the moon I watch flowers bloom

Oh the words keep me free can't you see
Please me in the green yet to be
Cold feels the key all alone reach for thee
Red hearts dance for she feels pages for a fee

Summer breeze dances in the mind of learn
Taking me to the sea side of being alive

Come stay awhile with me life live

Have you heard me cry to the wind
taste well the drink of sorrow in sin
softly we walk the road of intention
rationalize the good words of invention

death cares not it pulls you kicking and screaming

City streets reach out to hold mind and body
As the day reaches some point of understanding

I find the answers a bit cold and hard to take

My children struggle just like me
hard to accept even harder to see
hoped them to be free
thought I paid their fee

Walter, we can guide them to the gate, but payment is theirs to pay. We can't even loan them the dues.
A most excellent message and very well penned.

This is an excellent poem, provokes mixed emotions.
It seems we can't pay their fee. Each indiviual must
pay their own.
