Watch and feel the soul moving on

Come and hear the music
as it sings to my brain

playing like the sound of love coming down

Midnight wishes are here like mourning rain

Took my soul lost in her lonesome traveling train

Shadows scream up to the dying sky
I think I heard my lovers dead soul cry

If you be the willow that lives in the glen
trivial is the wind tried and true a talking friend

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Cover the grasses with her artful lies taste the candy in her eyes
open up your heart long enough to watch it as it all dies

Not a question of virtue left in the lingering sun brightly sighing
everybody is on the run fearing touches of the great voice lying

Come and the hear the music as it sings to my brain

Cover the wisdom of a merciful God
give the horse his freedom with a nod

Love slips into the belly of the beast
a victim of bad choices now the sacrifice the feast

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Shadows scream up to the dying sky
I heard my dead soul mate scream then cry

Death drops a watchful note in the glen
Open haunting thrills trees a talking friend

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Dry blood over the grasses with her lies
opens black heart to a soul that never dies

A questioned virtue left in the sun
Dry grapes everybody is on the run

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Discover the wisdom of a mercy driven God
give the six horses their freedom with a nod

Please hold and love every child that you see
keep that as a memory a special gift for me

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Wild continues to be a trying part of life
Cold is the blade that rules totally our life

Winter is long and summer but a dream
Long is the rifle (instrument of distraction) short is the stream

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Want is the need of the man
Lovers are victims of their faith and stand

Fall is free in the night wind crying to the trees
spirit reaches and floats on the evening breeze

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Will you take me as I am
will you believe in the values for which I stand

Can't you see, call me the last of hope to see
Feel it, cold is the grave warm is the tree

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain

Linger in the shadows with me

We are the lovers of time and will
I am your Jack you are my Jill

Heard a preacher begging for my worthless soul
Told me he could save me but it would take all my gold

Linger in the shadows with me

Left her in tears gave the bit of little love for her many fears
as the night sky left me alone guitar will sing me to home on her tears

Answers are but in hope it is a long and slippery slope
wishes that bring us back love is the story told

Linger in the shadows with me

I will never look to see the reflection known as me
laugh to the river sing to the moon love is never free

Come and hear the music as it sings to my brain
wishes are here like a mourning rain a new pain

Linger in the shadows with me

Last train to heaven the 8:03
silver needle to the brain spoon and candle flame
good book in my right hand

Your lines are just like a train, parading one after another. It's like you have taken your audience on a train ride. Many great lines here with well-crafted rhythm and rhymes, and it flows very well. I only wish I could write like this.

Great job indeed!

Wow quite a lingering brain train trip you took me on...with imagery music to my ear!!

Where do you get your inspiration to just go on and on and follow through....a magnificent talent you have for sure!!

Very well written Walter!!
