Never know what is in store
There was a squeak in the parlor There was a cry in the night There was shadow but There was no light Cat leaped on the table Sound fades a way Today is yesterday as the shadow goes a way Tripped on the cord watched the sun fade Slowing got to my feet Live in the bed I made Called out to the wind Held death at bay Shook the cobwebs Let the spider get away Cold falls in the memory Motion never strays Every voice takes me To a place I have been Mouse ate the tainted candy Cat ate the mouse house is lonely nobody gets out
