My best friend moves on...

O’rien and me went a drinking

O'rien he is my faithful dog

He was the designated driver

But me and O'rien hits us some fog

Dust and the water turned the brandy to stone

Now O'rien he is left here to go on alone

Keep the fire burning

O'rien he needs a home

He don’t drink much now that he is one his own

Trouble we shared some

Love well we had us a few

Dogs are just as good as their word

Some time we all love a chew

Call for more whiskey

Stop and give it a try

Leave the water cold only

O'rien had to watch me die

O’rien and me went a fishing

Fishing for souls we could take

O'rien he headed for heaven

Me I was caught at the gate

Lord we stop for quick one

Lord we cry as we leave

Lord take care of O'rien

He never was one to drink

It was Friday down at the tavern

A girl caught my eye

O'rien tried to stop me

But I bought all her lies

Silver turns to sunshine

When hair turns to gold

Death is in the bottle

Whiskey tastes better old

O'rien he was my friend

I never had to drink alone

Called to the home land

Left cold in the drink

O’rien and me went a drinking

O'rien he is my faithful dog

He was the designated driver

But me and O'rien hits us some fog

Dust and the water turned the brandy to stone

Now O'rien he is left here to go on alone

Keep the fire burning

O'rien he needs a home
