Mourning

Lady you stop every action inside trying to find a lover you pass me by

In forgiving we just walk past the wine of lingering seeds of tribute left behind

Hearts melt from a long time ready past need in love cast like dice upon a felt scream

Lips like candy taste better than mind dreams in vengance thrown in trees high

You live past songs of me and find a place to love and be so much a part that we mend

Lightening finds the sky flares take me past the heart in throat casual roll with death

Clip finds the hole spin manual loss eyes are body parts making moving as one

Unison finds soul grabbing places to anchor healing mental images to cold

In the whisper of the night coming for me

I pretend we are together singing soft at the piano

As the tips flow over the glass

Cry falls in mourning choices crafted from horror beyond belief

Faces rumble past ghosts of children pilgrims exploding folding up

Taking you with me slowly moving past terror into flame glowing

Joey strums a magic air guitar as hearts pace past love holding

We mend a history from foxhole to hellhole liquor tallies spin

A comfort in dreams crying whiskey rivers fills the war tin

A blend of magic plays air and the sound brings forth a heart filled with new song

Melody plucked from the wind crying to rain

So powerful the feel of life lived

Drift past arms waiting for hero whose soul now leaves night in gale shades

Ripe as sun calling birds of prey to visit eyes in tears leaving single lights lades in stage

Momma holding me against fear leaping magic heels clicking only tribute I own

Soul empties out in spews of the view of every face laid open by the knife

Crisp and purpose fall to see and keep drifters place rings in whiskey baritone

We are what we are two in love with life's song skipping on rims wheeled a lone

Hell takes me past every thing I own pain belly screams blood everywhere

Hand touches me in agony taking holding pushing past eyes close

Voices screaming about me flashes of light sound breaking past need

A love making passion as if it is listening to every sound

We are so alive looking into brown eyes we living the story of the son

Dreams emptied out in joy left for views of a throne going home

Staggering from pain living in bar smiles touching only air

We as in our youth fall into each other’s arms tasting only perfect thunder ringing

Exhausted finding only peace in body of mind and thoughts left cold going home

Sweat breaks in the night of first we meet a long sigh brings back images of love

Face brings back smiles of edge carrying body through every vision loved and feared

See me in angst lying in her dream for me perfect sound momma I am home with you

Lights out, taps, flag drapes, sing me home Walt, one last time, sing me home, blood done

Hands pray for better and day voice lays hoarse scream him home make it home

Bottle breaks against the wall I crawl to tears can not drink enough to forget

i cannot admit to completely comprehending this piece, however, the lines i did 'get' - i loved. the lack of punctuation made me feel like i was reading a riddle - one i wanted to solve, until i realised that some riddles are intended to be just that - perfect without interpretation. ty
