I hate death

Pump the organ
Push the pedals hard
Let the voice of the pipes
Light the stars

Pray for the men who are

As the days of time keep pushing me I cry and sleep-in hues
In the dark of the memory I find lies and clues
It was the mindset of a few brave blues
In time they will be gone

So you pick up your voices scream loud and strong
As the woman of your family comes on along
In the depth of another heart you sing your song
Come to me

Do you know the maker can you pick upon his hand
Do feel the presence of something greater than man
Cannot see it, boy you must be blind
Lord cleanse his mind

There are many who will die
Some who never hear your cry
And in the midst of honor
Lord why must I carry this load

In valley in the troubles of a hundred beating drums
I can only hear and see one
A vigilante crying to be free
Will and truth is he

There is a book upon the bed stand in a cheap hotel
As the slings and arrows send many to their hell
I read a line in red as I close your eyes
Step from the bedside and cry

Four drops of water and a sign of a cross
Pray for the world that this soul will not be lost
Paid the price of man deserves the blood from the cross
Best he could do was give his life for his brother

Do not preach to me about right or wrong
Do not tell me man is just ashes and dust
Do not direct me as to where I put my trust
For when there is nothing else I believe

Pump the organ
Push the pedals hard
Let the voice of the pipes
light the stars

Pray for the men who are
