My world lost

Outlaw and rebel stops before

The altar face to the floor

Beating his chest

Death waits a moment

Oh you mother cry for the day when I am free

I will ride the faith others

Watch them hang from a tree

An’t place to see the world die

An’t no woman

Gonna keep me alive

Cups are ring on the bars

As I journey home

Pastor keep step

I don’t plan to go alone

Fascination with guns

Hand hangs pistol high

Fingers flex in imagined

Gunfighter mind

Little boys

Fast if lucky

They never see

Reality

Drive by

Heart and soul

Blows a way

Mind gifted

Filled with coke

Dies sad joke

Dual of a kind

Pairs in mind

Left old

Dead cold

Watch the bars

As they ring

Death its sings

In the wonder of

Love and fate

Hand swings fast

But fast was late

Lady luck

Played his corner

Rifle spoke

Joke was loaded

Drink the whiskey

Snort the coke

Watched the sun find

Hallo sees the minister there

Drop tab into glasses

No one there

No one there

Hand swings to holster

Gun appears in night-light

Trigger pulled

Spews lead

Ends his life

It was early

In his thirty year

Tears cold on the table

Wine and bread

Left broke

I am fast and I am able

Still just as dead and broke

Coffin calling

Pastor sings me home

So you alley fighters

Cats of rat domain

Keep you hands

In your pockets

Don’t tell anyone

Your name

Sister stops at my grave

Trims the grass

Around my stone

Says prayer

For children

At home

Alone

Candle burns upon the mantle

Donation for my soul

Cold fingers folded

Prayers rise to the throne

In the garden all are sleeping

I kneel alone I kneel alone

The cup is mine to won

But as is with this life

All will pass but

Eternity waits

An’t place to see the world die

An’t no woman

Gonna keep me alive

An’t no one that can stop her

From trying
