There is a boy in Missippi
Sings them songs like they belong
Got a friend in Alabama
Used to just sing along

There is a boy in Missippi
Sings them songs like they belong
Got a friend in Alabama
Used to just sing along

Whiskey and hell bound
Trip in up and coming down

The smoke is getting misty
And the Wheal is playing
Southern blues
She all warm and cuddly
Kissing up to you

Whiskey and hell bound
Trip in up and coming down

Now I am just a marker on the handle of her gun
Anit no answer to a southern draw
She was a lady who wanted more than fun
Once around the dance floor

Sawdust covers the spot where my blood run

There is a boy in Missippi
Sings them songs like they belong
Got a friend in Alabama
Used to just sing along

Bartender looks the other way
As the lawmen come and take her away
She is kissing up as the band plays
Blue eyes crying in the rain

Whiskey and hell bound
Trip in up and coming down

Special my wake in the tavern
As the shots go down
Every drop is tribute to my sound
Guitar licks as they lower me in the ground

There is a boy in Missippi
Sings them songs like they belong
Got a friend in Alabama
Used to just sing along

Whiskey and hell bound
Trip in up and coming down

Crazy women
love them before
they take you home
nail the lid tight

whiskey bent and hell bound
