Shadows fall upon the land
I heard another story I just don't understand

Was from the farmer made his living from the land

Strangers from the county came and told him he was through
They were taking his land and was't anything that he could do

100 years his family and God made the food
He just could not beleive the fools.

Sheriff came to visit helped him clean out barn, they had alittle auction
now the bank owns the farm

The red headed stranger came and sang
a pretty song, half the county came and sang along
Now the farm is back where it belongs
just cuause some country singer came and sang his songs.

A little rain fell today
the corn is in
