let's start with the way
you emit your shine from the inside
through eyes with a deep glow,
enveloping my soul--
an immodest endeavor--
i'm floating,
featherweight on a zephyr,
finding it hard to decipher
how i got here so swiftly

or maybe i'm drifting--
blown through an infinite realm
of what's unknown
at the helm of a ship--
only the waves are not arduous,
the sky, not ominous,
but rather colorful, soothing,
safe, and serene

or, perhaps, it's a dream [sigh]
i don't want to wake from
unless it's to rise
and be suprised by your eyes
meeting mine as mine open
