Can't Judge A Book

by Jeff Mason — Read all 207 poems by Jeff Mason

Wednesday, June 9, 2004

She is a very sly one -
one who thrives on others' pain.

She craves revenge and anger;
marks your heart with acrid stain!

At daybreak, she's an Angel,
as she flutters into sight...

By nightfall, she's the Devil
with her deadly poison bite...

She moves in hidden shadows,
steely claws... glint razor-sharp --

But when all the lights are on,
she wears soft wings; strums her harp.

A sweet Damsel in Distress?
Think again! She's just not well!

She's truly Satan's Mistress --
horrid She, of Hate and Hell.

reminds me of a movie I saw of the first serial killer woman, now the original artist actress is beautiful beyond belief, but thepart she played, a surreal depiction of evil, scared me, like for real, all from a beauty so intxocatingly and overwelhmingly lovely ty Jeff al

Very good. I wonder if she is attracted to the devil within her victims.

"Can't Judge A Book" is a symbolistical poetic gradiose.

Jeff, I used to wonder how it was that you would defend a woman like this to the end. When we used to talk and I would tell you of the evil that lurked behind her dark eyes, you would only laugh. Evil is Evil and this one is PURE EVIL. I like the change in your attitude.
