If Today Was Your Last
If today was your last are
there things you would change,
words you'd say
mending love estranged.
What about prayers you meant to pray
and thought you'd have the time,
thinking you held this life in your hands
forgetting your presence is here by design.
Where is your heart did you do
your best,
with the years you were given
in ease can you rest?
These are the questions I've
often pondered,
when at times my mind has
secretly wandered.
Maybe I realize something others
do not,
I've loved and I've lost so today's
all I got.
Stop taking risks I promise
its true ,
there's someone on earth that's
counting on you.
