Your Memory Never Fades
As I open my eyes to another day
first thought that comes to mind,
are memories of you that will never fade,
as the sun begins to shine.
Whispering shadows of love
fill my heart with peace,
glistening tears of remembrance
glide along my cheeks.
It doesn't matter where I am
I will always imagine it's true ,
and wonder what heaven is like
since Jesus welcomed you.
The songs the angels sang
as you crossed the pearly gates,
the pain you suffered so long
vanished all away.
Dancing through the echoes of
time not a worry or a care,
always watching from above,
a part of God's angels there.
I know you're happy now,
you've earned your home in the sky,
with wings of solid gold
through eternity you fly.
You're a gift of priceless measure
to be cherished all my days
how blessed I was to call you mom
for your memory never fades.
