There's Good And There's Evil

There's good in every soul.

 There's Good and There's Evil

There's good and there's evil in this world, hearts made of gold or stone,
givers and takers walk among us
on which side do you call home?
Have you ever reached out to someone,
did you go the extra mile,
with something as simple as a hug
costing you nothing but your joy or your smile.
There's good and evil from the beginning,
as life we know it to be,
black or white, right or wrong, examples  we were taught to believe.
Generations once here, now
legacies left behind,
preserving compassion that
echoes it's glory throughout the end of time.
I'm proud of who i am
I know from where I came
there's good and there's evil in
this world,
my prayer is that all who may read this
will read it once again.

Very said, Kathy. I fall short in many ways, but a heart of stone is too dead for me.

Everything is not as simple as black and white. There are shades of gray and sometimes what is thought as evil turns out to be better than what is thought of as good. I certainly try to look my best foot forward every day and try to do the right thing. It's easy to walk away and leave evil behind and not the drawn to it.

Yes, there's definitely the good, as well as the evil in this world; but I'm believing that all of us strive to be our good selves and not letting the evil take over us.

Interesting. I bet I'm older than you and that is not necessarily a good or bad thing. All of life is a give and take. There is good and bad in all of us. It's the choices we make. Enjoyed. Liz

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
