Lawrence Thomas your soul lives on forever! My co-worker but more importantly my friend.

 Knocking On Death's Door

Knocking on death's door
you've fought the fight for life,
no different as you did before
when you wore the Stars and Stripes.
A soldier till the end brave and strong
and true ,
It's been an honor my friend
a privilege just to know you.
Black and white means nothing
but right or wrong you said,
words of wisdom I live by
a phrase I'll never forget.
Holding your head up high
knocking on death's door,
you may have lost some battles
but in the end you won the war!

Dedicated to Lawrence Thomas
A true friend and fellow co-worker.
A soul the world will always remember.

1. Lawrence Taylor trained the truck drivers that deliver all the goods and services you need to survive. He was a friend and a dedicated hard working man of color. He served our country in many ways. He inspired me when I needed inspiration. He believed in me.

2. I believe our ultimate destination is heaven. In the end that was the war he won. He was a soldier in God's army on earth and now as I write this the victory we all seek he has won. The war is over. This is my belief and I am not ashamed of letting my voice be heard. Isn't that what freedom of speech is all about?

I'm left with two things to ponder: other than serve our country, what did Lawrence do that will make him, "A soul world will always remember?" and by dying, how did he, "But in the end, you won the war?"
